Navagraha Puja is a Hindu ritual performed to appease the nine celestial planets, known as the Navagrahas — Surya (Sun), Chandra (Moon), Mangal (Mars), Budh (Mercury), Guru (Jupiter), Shukra (Venus), Shani (Saturn), Rahu, and Ketu. Each of these planets is believed to have a significant impact on an individual's life and destiny.
The puja is conducted to reduce the malefic effects of planets and enhance their positive influence. It involves chanting Vedic mantras, offering flowers, and performing homa (fire ritual) to bring harmony, prosperity, and protection from planetary doshas (faults).
